Have you ever thought

Have you ever thought  about your favorite sense mine is hearing. This makes my life better because i can listen to the teacher and hear her talking to me. Plus i can listen to my favorite music and video with no problem at all. I can hear my mom when she tells me its time for bed.

But if my hearing was to be taken away i wouldn’t be able to ride a bike because i couldn’t hear the car horn and i can get hurt. I couldn’t help my friend on her homework when she has a question. Plus couldn’t hear the quiet purr of my cat that helps me do my homework because it clams me. I couldn’t listen to the news and know what is going on around the world. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

The Survivor

My grandma was born on February 2, 1939.She lived in a little house in White Oak,TX.The White Oak High School back then was the k-6 building. She graduated in the 50’s.When she graduated and got older she  got married and had 3 children.

Two years ago my grandma tripped over a thin cord. She was walking on uneven ground and she didn’t see it and she fell. She wined up in the hospital she had a fractured hip and she had to have a hip replacement and a Metal rod were here hip and her knee was connected. But when she was in recovery her life changed she started to think about others that are like her with a replacement.

While in rehab she started with the easy stuff like using her hands to pedal  like on a bicycle, to get your strength back in your arms. Then it would get harder and harder and finally after five weeks in rehab, she thought of an idea to help people do their exercises and get a faster recovery so she started to help.

After a few days of helping people to get back on the road to recovery she headed home, but not knowing what would happen next. A year later had breast cancer and she started to have treatments and was fighting hard and made it through the challenges. After the fifth treatment they found a way to get rid of it.

Even though hard challenges await for her she will still get up and fight.Today she is a two year  cancer survivor. Life is precious, respect it and you will enjoy it.
